Unique engagement photos come out of simply letting the camera be an observer. When the photographer is confident enough to back off and stop relying on trendy, gimmicky engagement photo poses to base an engagement portrait on and instead lets the couple be themselves and creates an environment where they’re free to be as they naturally are with each other.
Then what happens is this. Captured in the engagement photo is something which speaks of the relationship between these two people. It’s a moment of time they shared together, now forever fixed in eternity.
There’s no pose this engagement photo is about. There’s no gimmick to distract from the couple. What we see is simply who they are. It’s a photo of their essence of them together.
