One of the best engagement photo ideas for couples who get married in New York City is to include a landmark in their engagement photo. An iconic location. Maybe… Grand Central Station?
The good people at Grand Central contacted me about Grand Central Terminal’s 100th Anniversary. To help celebrate they thought it’d be fun to showcase photographs taken in Grand Central.
They wanted five images. I’ve been taking engagement photos in Grand Central for a while so it was tough to narrow it down.
I selected these five to send them (which they love, and I’m told will be using as a pictorial series on their Facebook page and internal employee newsletter).
I’m more than proud and feel privileged to have this honor. Grand Central Terminal is more than an iconic setting for NYC engagement photos. Grand Central is also where the engaged couple may have met. Maybe it’s where their relationship was kindled spending some time getting to know each other on a train.
At the very least it’s a piece of their identity as New Yorkers. And a stamp of their time incorporated into New York City’s history. As a native New Yorker myself, I get it.
So we have these five because they showcase not only the couples’ feelings, but also Grand Central Terminal’s beautiful chandeliers and the colors and the texture and the mood of Grand Central in these engagement photos.
Through these images you can almost imagine lovers rejoicing as they greet each other stepping off a train, or embracing each other in their goodbyes.
