Want to look gorgeous on your wedding day (who doesn’t)? Here’s a secret:
Whatever great genes you’re blessed with, along with great wedding makeup, hair styling and beautiful wedding dresses, will have you looking amazing to everyone at your wedding. But to the camera? That’s another story.
Because cameras don’t see you same way our eyes do.
All the stories you’ve ever heard about how the camera accentuates the wrong stuff and adds ten pounds and most people don’t like the way they look in photos… it’s all kind of true.
A great photographer who knows how to make people look good in photos knows the camera does this. The good news is, they know why the camera does this.
The even better news is then they know how to correct for it. They have to trick the camera, as it were, to see you in the most flattering way.
Not a lot of photographers know anything about this but some do.
So to look amazing in your wedding photos and video it’s a little part that, and a little part of what you, the person being photographed, can do to make the camera see you in the best way.
That’s what we talk about in this podcast I recorded with Pennylane Production’s chief Cinematographer Adam Forgione, giving expert tips on how you can look great in camera so that you look amazing in your wedding photos and video.
