I’ve been building a new engagement photography portfolio and it’s been fun trying out new ideas with lots of different engaged couples around the NYC Tristate area.
I got this comment from one of the couples from the last session which I think after everything is said and done, beyond the art and technique, drives home the point of why have an engagement photographer at all:
“We just love how you captured the moment. We can almost feel it and experience it again through your lens.”
– Junko Kanda, NYC NY
That’s the point exactly: Here’s this little window of time in your life. A slice of time that perhaps may be a few months to just a few years, not a lot of time at all, really, compared to your entire life.
But yet what happened in that tiny window of time is huge. And impacts the rest of your life. Forever. And changes the future for you, your family and for all your descendants.
Because in this little period of time, you found someone. They found you. You fell in love. And then you chose to make a life with this person, commit to this person, start your family with this person.
So how profoundly significant is what happened to you in this little, tiny window of time?
And to photograph this history of your life, to document this passion you have, This moment in time, how wonderful is it that portraits can be created for you to look upon and not only see this chapter of your life again – but feel it, experience it, every time you see it.
If that resonates with you, then perhaps you and I should chat. Contact me here.
