NYC Engagement Photo Session from Brooklyn Bridge ParkReviewed by G.E. Masana on Dec 24Rating:
Lots of couples call me from around the country – sometimes even from overseas – planning on visiting NYC and wishing to have a portrait session or engagement photo session with me. I’m always beyond flattered when they choose me to be their engagement photographer out of all the choices they have. From Los Angeles came Tara, and Sreesh from good ol’ Brooklyn, NY, both doctors who wanted the “NYC experience” – meaning we’d get some iconic New York City landmarks into the mix, which we did, starting from Brooklyn Bridge Park for the classic NYC skyline view. Of course my philosophy is that the photo is not about the background. The background adds context to the story, the background adds character and texture, but the photo is about the people in it. It’s about how they feel about each other, it’s about who they are, it’s about fixing this moment of their lives into eternity. And they, dressed in a traditional engagement saree and kurta for their engagement photos added to the beauty of it all, which when you think about it, is truly what the “NYC experience” is about.
