Announcing Masana Portraits’ New Home: The Hotel ElyséeReviewed by G.E. Masana on Jan 12Rating:
A few years ago I transitioned all the more into portraits, conducting them on the streets of NYC, Grand Central Terminal and Central Park, among other locations around the city. All the while I was refining the experience and incorporating new and unique observations into the work making it distinctive and special, standing apart from the usual fare. Since then I’ve photographed hundreds of couples. Along the way I realized bringing this experience into a studio setting was the next step. And so for the past couple of years I worked out of an office building. I kept developing the artwork according to my vision, striving to combine the realism of photography with painted touches, and thanks to everyone’s support, the artwork has journeyed from its humble beginnings to the world-class caliber it is today.
Today, I’m honored to say my portrait creations are extremely valued by my clients, in-demand and found in the homes of many notable people.
Now the time has come for new surroundings. This is why I’m excited to announce that I’ll be holding court at the celebrated Hotel Elysée, NYC’s Upper East Side elegant French-style boutique hotel (screen legends Marlon Brando and Sidney Poitier have been guests; Playwright Tennessee Williams lived there; “Sex and the City,” “Mad Men” were filmed there).
The ambiance of this charming hotel no doubt will imbue its unique inspiration to our portrait sittings, and so I look very much forward to seeing new clients there.
