About me

I was an artist/ illustrator here in NYC before I ever picked up a camera. I went to art school to develop a natural talent I had for drawing and painting.
I actually won my first art award by third grade. At the age of 8 my drawings were being exhibited at the East River Savings Bank in NYC! Later in art school I won some nation-wide art contests sponsored by major U.S. corporations. Some days I’d hang at the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART for hours just admiring and deconstructing the paintings of the Great Masters. I learned a lot there.

Fast forward a bunch of years, after insistence from a wedding photographer friend, I photographed a wedding.
I saw that couple’s reaction to my photos. Their faces literally glowed as they looked over them – and I was hooked. The camera became my artist’s brush.

Since then, I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings in the New York City area and elsewhere around the nation.
Got published in national magazines. Was placed on the Contributing Photographer list for MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS. Recently won a world-wide photography award from the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS.
I’ve been interviewed by major professional photography journals RANGEFINDER and STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY magazine as well as featured in several regional publications and newspapers.

Some of my wedding clients have been a BEAUTY EDITOR at ELLE, a NYC ART GALLERY PROPRIETOR, a WRITER at BRIDES magazine, a PHOTO COORDINATOR for VICTORIA’S SECRET, an OPERA SINGER for the NYC METROPOLITAN OPERA, the son of a U.S. AMBASSADOR TO FRANCE and the daughters of a LEGENDARY SINGER-SONGWRITER. I’ve photographed weddings for authors, models, musicians, actors, directors, cinematographers, fashion designers, graphic artists, art directors – and even an internet wiz kid gazillionaire. Celebrities I’ve encountered at weddings caught in my camera have been MICHAEL STIPE (R.E.M.), WILLOW BAY & BOB IGER, JOHN LEGUIZAMO, MARIO BATALI, DANIEL DAE KIM (HAWAII FIVE-0), among others. All pretty cool stuff for a kid from Queens with a camera.
